It's about this 10 year old little girl who is in her school play, Alice In Wonderland. She kind of is a loner in her school and becomes obsessed with Wonderland, among other things. I fell in love with the little girl who plays Phoebe and I couldn't stop thinking she looked an awful lot like Dakota Fanning.
So, I waited till the credits and lo and behold her name is Elle Fanning. Coincidence? I think not. So i turn to the old trusty Internet and Internet Movie Data Base and, TADA! Sisters! Who knew? Maybe everyone already knew that? I didn't. But now I do. And I like her.
There is this scene where she has a bad dream or something and her mom comes rushing into her room, and grabs her on her bed. They start talking and Phoebe starts crying and it is so real. I really felt for her, and i could imagine myself crying to my mom the exact same way.
