Phoebe In Wonderland

So i just watched the movie Phoebe In Wonderland. I had actually never heard of it but somehow it got onto my queue and I loooooooooOOOOOOOoooooved it. It was really different- but I love really different movies.

It's about this 10 year old little girl who is in her school play, Alice In Wonderland. She kind of is a loner in her school and becomes obsessed with Wonderland, among other things. I fell in love with the little girl who plays Phoebe and I couldn't stop thinking she looked an awful lot like Dakota Fanning.

So, I waited till the credits and lo and behold her name is Elle Fanning. Coincidence? I think not. So i turn to the old trusty Internet and Internet Movie Data Base and, TADA! Sisters! Who knew? Maybe everyone already knew that? I didn't. But now I do. And I like her.

There is this scene where she has a bad dream or something and her mom comes rushing into her room, and grabs her on her bed. They start talking and Phoebe starts crying and it is so real. I really felt for her, and i could imagine myself crying to my mom the exact same way.

What We've Been Up To...

So- I am horrible at blogging. so i'll just catch up by giving the low down on what we have been up to lately!

BIKE RIDE EXTRAVAGANZA!- we found a really awesome bike trail in scottsdale and we want to start a bike club! anyone who wants to join is welcome! it will be sooooo fun!

FRIENDS IN TOWN!- a couple of chase's mission friends, andrew and dustin, came into town from provo for our friends, clint and elizabeth's wedding! we had such a fun time!

poor andrew got fried when we went swimming, cut up slip-n-sliding, gashed

and burnt quadding, but he's still smiling!

clint and elizabeth's reception was AMAZING! i took tons of pictures!

for some strange reason they trusted those boys with the key to their house so we could look at it while they were in hawaii! they took alot of funny pictures, and left that picture frame andrew is holding on their bed... its better than what they wanted to do to their house!

AVACADO SHAKES!

SO DELICIOUS... i was skeptical. but chase promised they were good and he used to eat them all the time in brazil! so i trusted him!

all it is is avacado, milk and sugar. but if you like avacados you WILL like this! try it, yo!

KICKING DOWN SIGNS

CAMPING ON THE FLOOR IN THE DESERT!- we were bored, so we drove the scion out to the desert with some sleeping bags, and there ya go! camping trip!

Except chase got scared that a mountain lion or something was going to bite his head off, so we ended up sleeping in the car... oh well! we still were at the desert!

PARTY HOUSE!

This post can be summed up to one sentence.

I AM THE BEST AUNT IN THE WORLD.

A while back, (like EASTER) Chase and I had the privalege and honor to have a rockin party with

Quinn and Oggy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry- it was an exclusive party.

No one else was invited, but don't worry,

I'll give you the play-by-play!

Well, We learned alot of things.

One is that you have to add an extra 45 minutes to an hour of getting ready time.

(PARTYbaths take l

than anticipated.)

Another is that you can get a little boy to do almost anything by putting

the word "party" in front of it.

So here's how it went down:

off to PARTYdinner ("PARTYchicken store"...)

Then back at the PARTYhouse

First thing we did, (of course) was make a PARTYbed!!!

then PARTYeaster bag decorating!

[the hulk easter bunny left these on our door step! thanks! :) ]

and PARTYsuitcase riding

(it was a BIG deal to be in underwear- but, you know, I'm a cool aunt, so when Quinn asked me if he and Oggy could have no pants on with a great deal of hesitation, I said of course!)

Then PARTYpopcorn making

and PARTYrockband (no fail) and a PARTYmovie on (of course) our awesome PARTYbed!

Yesterday I came home to this.

He's teaching me how to be an xbox 360 nerd too.

I am a lucky lucky girl.

At first when he heard the key in the door he quickly

hid the headset behind his back.

I noticed his mischevious face and sneakily found it.

After about 10 minutes of laughing and mocking him,

he gave in and just openly played his game

with his other virtual nerds.

I shaved my legs in the park today.

I wore shorts this morning to work,

but forgot my legs were prickly so I grabbed my razor before I left.

Then things got busy and I didnt have time to shave

until the kids were busy on the swings.

So- what better place but the drinking fountain!?

It felt goood.

I love strawberry short cake and ice cream!

Possibly the besty dessert ever!

sad news...

well... we're selling the truck.

it's a sad time (mostly for chase)- but it's the smartest thing to do for us right now.

but on a happier note....

oh boy. i HATE asthma attacks!

they are frustrating, painful, inconvenient, time consuming, painful, annoying, and leave you utterly exhausted! (and did i mention painful?!)

BUT- i do love the treatment that comes with it. chase rubbed my back and stroked my hair all night last night until i fell asleep!!!!!!!....

awe.... i love my husband.
